#08. Rain

on

When things become too much, people are forced to go against. Today, was her day; For years, she was quiet, lifeless and always inferior.

The trend was as usual, right things never got encouraged. ‘Gender equality’- they said; which was only ensured for the higher classes of society. “Life’s never easy”, but for her, life was tougher than she could handle. This day, she decided to stand up against the person with whom she lived a life that was almost same as a life in hell. She wanted to raise her voice for every women, who faced domestic violence. Good decision, lady!

Words ran from her heart through her blood, but suddenly got obstructed! Why isn’t she speaking up? What made her quiet again? No idea!

Oh yes! There comes the society’s role. “Log kya kahenge?(What will people say)”- A question, that ruined the lives of many such ordinary people. Truth which was always covered by this question, never came out. The same question pulled her back and kept her mouth shut.

Now, what’s rain here?

She was innocent, she was always right, as a clear sky! Society and its thoughts were the Villains. They came in as clouds. Dark clouds! And as time went by, they got heavier. Finally they burst!

Yes, showers…

It rained heavily, and as usual, “No one cares”.

This is not an issue in just a specific locality, or country. There has been many such unfortunate issues worldwide. Say no to domestic violence!
